Please Tell me..

Well im not sure where this question should go,My question is can you hook up a cable modem to a Computer that does not have an Ethernet or USB port?I wanted to no becuase I was given this old computer for free and I was wondering if I could hook cable up to it without using USB or Ethernet.

 

through a pci network card...then again if it doesnt have usb/network card it would be seriously difficult to find a compatible card w/whatever OS is installed on the system...

If there is No USB and No Ethernet then there is Network or connection or setting of Broadband Internet.

However if the computer has an empty PCI slot you can put for $5 a Network Card (NIC) and every thing will be nice and dandy.

Once you installed the NIC, log to this page it has a lot of links to instructions to Windows Network Settings, and Sharing.

Thanks for the link.Now I have another question its not about the internet or anything,it should in fact be really simple to do but its not...When I try changing my screen size and color resoution (it can it has a list of colors and the bar for pixels can be moved)it doesnt work.I go to display properties and click the setting tab, set them to what I want,and hit apply,then the colors and resoultion reset back to 16 colors and 640 x whatever.Then the window asking me to restart comes up, and I do restart and nothing has changed?(not sure where this should go again,but just posted it in here)Help me please..

 

Your Video card and the Card's drivers are not installed correctly.

 

How do i fix that?
