Plz help virus has full control

when i say control every time i start up my PC it loads........ then the nice windows xp home window comes up.. the green bar moves... moves some more... then 1 secound b4 it can start up for me to type in my PW it just restarts.. i can only get to windows loading screen... i think its a worm... but here is the problem.. it won't restart in safemode.. i put in my system restore cd and that doesn't work.. it also says use your last working system reboot .. that doesn't work.. but my bois is running.. it shows everything is working... but i just can't get on my desktop.

I went to best buy to ask the dude there.. and he was like try a format .. but i don't know how to if it won't load my cd or anything for that matter...and that kid was like prob 1 year older then me... he talked to me about Doom3 and how he has almost beat it... lol don't get me wroung i am all for a nice talk about games.. but not when my PC farts on me

just going to give it a bump, i'm at a freinds house atm tonight.. i had to get out of my room after that crap happen, i really don't wanna have to send it to sager and get it back in like 2 weeks lmao... but to be honest i really don't see anything eles i can do ... i don't have a bootdisk.. and even so ... it feels like this damn "worm" has locked me out of my own PC..

 

Icy, real bummer going on for you, huh? I'm not a major geek (or even a minor one), but love to dink around with my computer's guts and sometimes get lucky in solving things. My only suggestion is if you can get into your Install/Uninstall area, and see what's there that you don't recognize. Do a right-click and look at Properties, and anything that's newly installed around the time your problem started could be the culprit. Some spyware/viruses download with music programs and downloaded upgrades. I found a separate program that came in on my Media Player. I uninstalled it and got rid of it that way. Also, if you can right-click on Start, then click Explore, click Program Files and look at that list for anything with a name you don't recognize and do a right-click/Properties and see what the created date was. Again, if it's a new created date and you didn't create it yourself, that could be one of the problems. Good luck, it's frustrating!

 

i hear that, i couldn't get drunk tonight.. or should i say day since its like 2:30 now, but i am high since i got no laptop ... anyhow back to the crappy news.. i am locked out of my system, i wish i could go in add/remove, b/c i know what the file is called.. i think.. its some korean crap that poped up and it was a fluke mistake that happen... i just don't get my luck that the virus is like this...

maybe if i got a BootDisk for XP and tried to boot from the floppy... b/c when i put in the cd system restore it does nothing.. even when i tell it to run for it.... any tips on how to run a boot disk?

but onto the good news!!! i fixed this #$^^%&*( O yea i did it dirty, i ran the bios to run off the cd-rom .. even learned how to overclock my vid card "not going to... i know its not a good idea to do that to a laptop unless you have spent a few extra bucks on a coolin system"

but anyhow i had to format sadly.. but hey... i got my pc and i don't have to send it in for 2 weeks... i am gonna use that site to help maintain it from the start...
