pmon.exe and pfmon.exe

I am having a problem with lockouts - can't even alt-ctrl-del
I believe it is a problem in Spyware Doctor and went to their web site and took their suggestions, but still having the problem.

When I went to event viewer I found a problem that microsoft said to download rktools.exe (rsource kit) and use pmon.exe to see what was locking up or pfmon to see what was causing bad page faults.

After downloading and installing the resource kit, I cannot find any instructions for useage

Is anyone familiar with using these tools to trouble shoot a system lockup?

I currently am running wintasks to see if I can get in to see what is eating the cpu, but so far the box is to locked up to catch anything - just had another lockup and could not ctl-alt-del either.

Any ideas will be appreciated
