I have a GeForce 5600 AGP 256MB DDR graphics card installed on my XP system that I got from a friend. Where can I find the drivers for this card? Can I connect to my big screen TV along with my computer monitor? The card has a VGA, DVI and a s-video output, which one do I use to connect to my TV? Please can someone point me in the right direction?

    Thanks

    nVidia drivers here http://www.nvidia.com/Download/index.aspx?lang=en-us .

What connections do you have on the TV? If you have an open HDMI connector on the TV, get a DVI to HDMI cable. Or an S video cable or a S video to component cable.
Which connector are you using for the computer monitor? VGA, DVI, ?

The nVidia Control Panel will let you setup the TV.

I am using the VGA connection for my computer monitor. My TV has HDMI, S-video and component inputs.

I checked out the link for the driver you provided and the GeForce 5600 AGP 256MB DDR is NOT listed. Which driver should I use?

It goes by the chip itself, which in your case I believe is the FX5600? This link is for the 175.19 XP driver dated July of 2008. Is has support for a few FX5600 chips http://www.nvidia.com/object/winxp_175.19_whql.html .

Also have you tried running the Update Driver for the Display Adapter in the Device Manager in the Control Panel? Microsoft's Update should have a driver for that card.

Ok thanks so much for your help!!! Yes it is a GeForce FX 5600 AGP. I will install the driver tonight and will also try the update driver for the display adapter.

    Thank you

You're welcome. Have an older system running a 7600GT AGP card that handles Windows 7 pretty well. Nice to see older but still capable hardware being used instead of in a landfill.
