Police Scanner to PC

Can anyone tell me how you can hook your police scanner up to your PC.
Now that scanners went digital I can't afford to get a new one. I want to listen to multiple stations. If I use radio reference just on pc, I am limited to one area. So that is why I want to connect my scanner to pc. When connected how do you get it to broadcast from pc to scanner? Thanks in advance. Hope you all had a nice holiday.

Check your local city/county police or government websites. In some areas, they offer an online real-time audio feed of the police and fire radio systems.

 

Hooking a non digital scanner to your pc wont change that fact that radio system are now mostly digital. Use radio reference, or buy a new scanner that supports the digital data system that your county uses.

 

Yeah it's impossible, you can't scan digital stations with a analogue scanner no matter what it's connected to, you could conceivably connect a digital scanner to an analogue receiver though.

Forgive my prying but are you a female geek who likes radios and listening police broadcasts? This is rare.

Or are you a male geek who loves greys anatomy? This is also rare.
