Poor speed through netgear DG834G

    I was upgraded today to approx 5Mbyte download speed by BT. When I connect to the router it's internal page shows a download speed of > 5 Mbytes but when I test via my Laptops:cry connected wirelessly it only get circa 2.5 Mbytes. I have two lap tops connected wirelessly. Does the Netgear DG834g v3 share the bandwidth between the two PC's?

    Yes.

    But, one way to test things. Turn off one of the laptops. Run a speed test on the other laptop.
