Pop-up balloon when a folder is selected

    Is there a way to either turn off or increase the time it takes for a balloon pop-up to appear when you select a folder in Windows 7?

    When I'm editing folder names manually it's annoying and gets in the way.

    You can try using The Windows Club Ultimate Tweaker tool. If you do not, just turn off the Balloons in Folder Options and taskbar properties. There is a way to do it from the Registry, but you will have to dig it up from microsoft.com, in the technet forums.
