Pop-up won't go away

On certain websites, a long, vertical pop-up appears on the right side of the screen. Usually, it's called Hot Deals. It covers up what's behind it and I cannot find any way to get rid of it. For instance, if the screen has three columns of material, the pop-up covers the third column. Any ideas? Thanks.

Thanks, falconattackI. I use Malwarebytes, but had neglected it for awhile and it was sorely out of date. When I updated and ran it, I found that the Hot Deals pop-up had disappeared. I surely appreciate your quick and helpful response to my plea for help.
