Pop-ups suddenly with Norton Internet Security

We've had N.I.S. and Anti-virus since the beginning of the year. It was working fine for pop-ups, but suddenly we're getting loads of them. I looked at the configuration and it's the same as before. Have ads started to get around this software? Is there anyway you can re-config Norton so that they can block these ads? I know that I can't use another pop-up stopper while using Norton and I paid good money for this program.

    1. Can you help me get rid of the pop-ups via Norton?
    2. Is Norton a piece of crap and if so, what would you suggest for the future?

Thanks so much and if you're in NYC, enjoy the amazing weather today! Stephanie

This very well may be the problem. Will download "shoot the messenger" and see. Thanks so much.

If you have the NIS alert tracker bar visible then use this to open the Ad trash can to which you can drag-and-drop your advert and add this so that NIS can ignore it.

Also, you can use more than one pop-up killer at the same time, I do this with the MYIE2 browser. I also use a hosts file: http://www.mvps.org/winhelp2002/hosts.htm to prevent adverts from showing by re-directing their web address to the local machine.
