Hi I followed all the directions on the 4th sticky and I'm still getting IE popups. Usually one on startup and another every few minutes when I'm online, even when using firefox instead of IE. I downloaded the VX2 removal adidtion for adaware, but upon scanning, removing and scanning again it's still finding the file. The other common file that seems to be popping up in scans is the intercasinotoolbar thing (i forget the exact name but I'm sure you guys know). I ran hijack this according the the directions in another thread above and thought I removed what was necessary, but the popups still exist. Any help would be appreciated.

What is the file the VX2 is finding (include the path)?

Post your HijackThis log according to the guidelines in the sticky thread. Make sure you have HJT version 1.98.2.

Its 130 AM and I've been dealing with this and a bunch of other stuff all day. I assumed I had the correct version. If you want to be a dick about it then thanks but no thanks. Your site's been incredibl useful but I don't need the shit.

The trend micro scan didnt work after numerous attempts in both safe and normal mode.

If you sat here week after week, month after month having people ignore your instructions that you were giving for free. You would get more than a little annoyed. You are dealing with this for just one day. I have been dealing with it from thousands of users all the time and I do it for free. All we expect is that our instructions be followed so that we can avoid repeating ourselves over and over again and so we can get to a solution faster. Not following instructions wastes my time, your time, and prevents me from helping other people too.

Totally understandable and again the help is greatly appreciated. Getting yelled at for an innocent ****up is not. There was NO intention to NOT follow the instructions and in fact every effort was made to follow them as closely as possible.

What part of the below made it so hard to follow

"Post your HijackThis log according to the guidelines in the sticky thread. Make sure you have HJT version 1.98.2"

It is rather easy to see the version number is not what I requested and you also did not shutdown your browser as requested either.

So you think yelling at you is not understandable. What to you think of this:

"If you want to be a dick about it then thanks but no thanks. Your site's been incredibl useful but I don't need the shit. "

I can accept that people miss the apparent. It happens message after message and I (like a other helpers here) try to ignore it and type more repetitious lines again and again. We get annoyed and complain a little sometimes. It's not a big deal and a small price to pay for free help. What I cannot and will not accept is being called "a dick"?

Now we're really wasting time. There's a difference in being "a dick about it" which you were, and calling you one, which you're not since you obviously help a lot of ppl here.

Excuse the honesty. I don't BS.
