    Evenin all...

I have a small network setup for my business. I'd like to be able to remote access the DMC from WWW using remote desktop.

We have to share the internet connection with the owner
and he was getting kicked off a lot so I put us on a different IP Set

We're on sky with a netgear sky router on IP 192.168.0/* this is then connected via ethernet to the office dlink 615 router. the dlink has external IP 192.168.0.3 and is reserved on the sky Netgear.

The internal network is on 192.168.10/*

DHCP on our network is handled by my Domain controller with active directory and dns installed.
DHCP for his network is handled by his router for him

My question is, can I port forward through 2 routers on different IP sets to get to the Domain controller :major

I've never tried it but I suspect that it would work. I would forward through the first router to the WAN IP of the second Router. In the second Router, forward the same port to the IP of the Domain controller.

    That's exactly what I did...

I tried RDP on the internal network and it works fine
But when i go out onto the WWW and come back in using our external IP
it fails every time telling me the usual error

either machine is not connected or RDP is not enabled Blah Blah

both machines have passwords so its not that
ive made a rule on both routers to forward rdp 3389 tcp

do you know of a network tool which might help me track any errors

ps. I can remote out to another remote server based 50 miles away so i know it does work.....

i had an idea i remoted out from a workstation to a friendly server then tried to remote back in to my domain controller.

I have tried this on two separate workstations with the same result,
I end up remoting back in to the machine im remoting out on.....

this is odd and i cant figure it out as i have made all the port forwarding 3389
    to my DMC

all machine are statically set and dns seems to be running fine
    Any ideas?
