Hi, I've never ran a dedicated server from behind a router before and I've followed directions from http://portforward.com on how to forward the ports for running a counter-strike 1.6 server. I just can't get it to work though. Anyone can connect from behind the router, but nobody from outside.

I have a Linksys WRT54Gv router and I've forwarded these ports to a static ip address I made 192.168.62.136.

    Any suggestions?

did you get a static ip from your isp? did you assign that to your router? are the people outside of your router using the static ip that your isp gave you to connect?

i'm betting that they are trying to connect to your 192.168.62.136 address which will not work.

inside your lan, you don't need port forwarding. outside your lan, you need the port forwarding, but the outsiders need to know the ip address for the router, but it isn't 192.168.62.136.

go into the router under the status tab and see what the ip address for your linksys is. tell them to use that address to connect. if you don't have a static ip address from your isp, this ip address can change and they will need to know it before connecting.
