Port forwarding problem

My friend is having a problem playing Guild Wars, it uses port 6112. He's used this site http://www.portforward.com/english/routers/port_forwarding/Netgear/WGR614/Guild_Wars.htm

to set up a static IP and he thought he opened the port, but the game still doesn't work. He doesn't have any firewalls (including SP2's)and his router is specified in that link. Any ideas on what he can do to fix it or to test if the port if open or not?

 

Run the ipconfig command to double check the PC has the static IP you guys set.

Also that both TCP and UDP ports have been set on the netgear router.

Simple but have you restartet after SAVING the Ruleset?

 

I think he fixed it, but he didn't tell me did. I'm not even sure he knows himself, haha. Thanks though ;D
