Port Forwarding Xbox360

ok there is a lot to explain so i hope someone can help me out. recently i got my isp changed from mediacom to verizon. i still have the same router but they had to reset all of the settings so my portforwards were erased. i put everything back to the way it was but for some reason my NAT type is still not open. heres what i am doing.

the way i opened my NAT last time was by using "DMZ". the virtual servers(port forward rules) option didn't work last time and it doesnt work this time either. this time though DMZ isnt working as well.

also there is something else that i dont understand. i wont get the MTU warning if i enable the virtual servers then enable DMZ. i can then disable virtual servers if i choose. but it wont work other way around (enable dmz then enable Virtual servers) and to top it off it will only make my NAT type to moderate which isnt good enough for me.

also i have the UPnP option but it will only open up my NAT half of the time. the other half it will become "strict". does UPnp work when there is a static ip? i dont think it is for me.

sorry i know this is a lot of information but im really confused right now and xbl sucks when u got a strict NAT. hopefuly someone will understand how to fix this
