what is better negative or positive pressure?

I have a NZXT gamma case

To give you an idea of my case.

I have 4 case fans, (excluding my push/pull corsair h-50 set up on the rear exhaust) it is exhausting out the back.

Could i set up all my fans as exhausts bar the bottom front one (an extremely high CFM fan, the one with the filter so i minimize dust going in?

    I have as follows

    AMD athlon x4 620 @3.2ghz
    Asus M4A78-E
    GeForce 960 GSO
    4GB Corsair DDR2 @1200

Have the filtered fans going inwards, the rest out. Dust is the real enemy of temperatures and anything you can do to keep it out is good.

    Hi Burrell

I would always advocate the push pull method of cooling a PC, so in at the front and side out at the back and top, really need some airflow IMHO.

But great test is to monitor your temps as they are now and make a record (screenshot of max and min) can use HWMonitor for this, and use your PC normally for a few hours, playing games etc

Then change the fans to all expelling air and do the same test, then hopefully you may have an answer to what is best orientation of the fans.

    Interesting idea Burrell.
