    Hi Guys :wave

I posted on here a few months ago, i am back because my brother is having issues with his computer and he is not competent enough to run the scans. hope that is ok with you guys.

As far as i am aware he has been having numerous difficulties with his comp..1) when the internet is loaded he cannot switch from tab to tab without the internet crashing. pop ups would appear then the internet would crash.

    2) delta toobar was installed on his comp, however he also has babylon on here too. I managed to remove delta (well it aint showing up anymore) but babylon is still on here, its not in add or remove programs but is in internet explorer manage add ons section (manage add ons - search providers) when i click on it there is no uninstall or remove button.

    3) he had a winzip system performance program, i think i got it but not 100% sure.

    4) Also he has reported that google chrome has renamed itself to 'face' and keeps doing it. I will screen shot it and post it on here.

He also he said hp support assistant keeps popping up does he need it?

I have completed all the scans on your removal page the logs added to this post.

    His comp is:

    HP Probook 4530
    Win 7
    Service pack 1
    intel core 15-2430M 2.40ghz
    8 gig ram
    64 bit os
    500GB HD

    Cheers Guys

Re run Hitman and have it delete Potential Unwanted Programs.

http://imageshack.us/a/img841/7292/thisisujrt.gif Please download Junkware Removal Tool to your desktop.
    • Shut down your protection software now to avoid potential conflicts.
    • Run the tool by double-clicking it. If you are using Windows Vista or Seven, right-mouse click it and select Run as Administrator.
    • The tool will open and start scanning your system.
    • Please be patient as this can take a while to complete depending on your system's specifications.
    • On completion, a log (JRT.txt) is saved to your desktop and will automatically open.
    • Attach JRT.txt to your next message.

Now run the C:\MGtools\GetLogs.bat file by double clicking on it. (Right click and run as admin if using Vista, Windows7 or Win8) Then attach the new C:\MGlogs.zip file that will be created by running this.

Before we continue I would like for you to use MSConfig to put this machine back into normal start up mode, if you haven't done so already.

I would like for you to uninstall Google Chrome and reinstall it please. Let me know if it still calls itself face or not.

    Excellent!

If you are not having any other malware problems, it is time to do our final steps:
    1. We recommend you keep Malwarebytes Anti-Malware for scanning/removal of malware.
    2. Renable your Disk Emulation software with Defogger if you had disabled it in step 4 of the READ & RUN ME.
    3. Go to add/remove programs and uninstall HijackThis. If you don't see it or it will not uninstall, don't worry about it. Just move on to the next step.
    4. If running Vista, Win 7 or Win 8, it is time to make sure you have reenabled UAC by double clicking on the C:\MGtools\enableUAC.reg file and allowing it to be added to the registry.
    5. Now goto the C:\MGtools folder and find the MGclean.bat file. Double click ( if running Vista, Win7, or Win 8 Right Click and Run As Administrator ) on this file to run this cleanup program that will remove files and folders related to MGtools and some other items from our cleaning procedures.
    6. Any other miscellaneous tools we may have had you install or download can be uninstalled and deleted.

    7. After doing the above, you should work thru the below link:

    Hi Kestrel13!

I take it that because we are doing the final stages that the logs are clear on this machine. The computer seems to be running well and no issues have presented themselves yet.

I am going to install a fire wall as well as a proper anti virus, i am not sure if my bro will buy Malwarebytes Anti-Malware but will prob keep it for the scan option.

Thank you so much for your help, much appreciated.
