My wife and I both stream vods or tv shows but lately we have been having issues. I am on a wired connection and my wife on a lap top on the wireless. Lately it seems like we have no bandwidth left and one or both of us can't watch streams due to lag and buffering. Even with both loading the respective streams I have ran internet speed test and had plenty of bandwidth left over.(more than 10megs usually)

I am pretty new to networking and really have very little idea of what I am doing. I read somewhere that routers sometimes prioritize certain traffic.(for example video and audio vs html web pages) I want to know if some setting will fix this issue or something. I am just so clueless outside of computer hardware lol.

Both computers are win 7. I set mine up with a static IP because I thought some sort of IP conflict may have been the issue. The router we have is a SMCD3GN2-RES. Thank you for any help.

Since bandwidth checker shows you have the correct speed, may it is the issue with the broadcast(TV). If you see the same issue again just power off the modem and router for one minute and switch then on.
