Possible screen falure or bios problem!

I have a fairly new model of the dell xps m1710. Great picture and everything, i just started to run into problems two days ago. The screen sort of acted like the lcd was failing or graphics card. I took some videos of what is occuring.

Things i have tried:
1) connecting another monitor, instead of using my laptops. (this resulted in the same screen error, as seen in my video). So this cuts out the chance of a failing lcd screen.

So in mind there are only two things that could be wrong, the graphics card is going or there is something messed up with the bios.

*side note* after playing around with it yesterday i got it to fix itself. and it was working wonderfully. But now i can not get it to fix.

Also i use zone alarm security suite. and i am 100% this is not virus related.

If the lappy is still in warranty then contact Dell.

Almost certainly a failing graphics card. This could be very expensive to replace. Best to back up all your data and start searching for a new lappy.

Sorry, I know this is not what you want to hear, but internal laptop replacements are very difficult to do.

 

Do you try to reinstall the driver for the graphic card? if not "do it" like NIKE.
I don't see that on the clips that in safe mode graphic is OK with the standard xp driver.
