Why would you have a DVD image that isn't larger than a CD? Is it an ISO file? If so, then you can burn it onto whatever you like - they're exactly the same for CD's or DVDs. It really depends what file format you're working with.

It seems like the ISO file was compressed within a RAR archive, bringing the 1.1 gig file down to 300 mb. Seems like i'm screwed. Oh thanks anyway.

Why don't ye just extract the ISO on your hdd?

One question, what ISO is this?

So you have a 500mb RAR of a 1.1 gb ?ISO?
extract it, then get daemon tools and mount it to a virtual drive, then
once you know what you have (DVD, avi, whatever) goto www.videohelp.com and they have guides for all video solutions...
Sounds to me like you're going DVD to VCD?
