Possible ways to get XP on laptop?

    Hi,

I just got a new HP laptop with Windows7 at a great price. Great, huh? Not so much. Not to lay out a sob story, but I have a chronic illness that affects my cognitive function and I'm having a hard time figuring out the whole Win7 thing and am kind of considering taking back or selling the new laptop and trying to find an older(or new) laptop with XP on it just so I don't have to freaking go on the internet to ask every single stupid question I run across, I literally don't have the energy.

For instance, right now I'm in the process of trying to move my files from my XP desktop to a Win7 laptop via flash drive.

When I plug in the flash drive to the laptop with Win7 it only gives me the option of moving the folders to My Documents, and from there I can't figure out how to move the folders to My Music. I see there's an option for Libraries and such, but I don't want that. I want my folders to be in the section I want them in, period. Not located in My Documents and Libraried out to My Music, I want music in My Music, pictures in My Pictures, documents in My Documents, and not everything in My Documents and Libraried out to the various other sub-headings. Revolutionary, right? I know.

So several questions. Does anyone have any idea of what I'm talking about with the question above with the folders and such? Also, since I'm guessing laptops with Vista are fixing to be being sold for cheaper and Vista can be downgraded to XP, what are anyone's thoughts on that? Plus, is there a holy grail here, ie a brand new laptop with XP on it?

What are anyone's thoughts on this?

    Thanks a bunch,
    J

Ugh, I think I figured it out and all that needed to be done was to copy and paste the folders, I'd never done that before, I always used the 'move this folder' or 'copy this folder' command in Files and Folder tasks.

Somebody cancel the call for the whambulance, please. :-o:-D

Does anyone know how to send stuff though? I can copy and paste to the different folders, but I'd like to be able to 'send to' as well...

    Thanks.
