    Do you have your installation disc? I don't know why Combo wanted to remove these items:
    These are windows files. Possibly they are corrupted.

    You need to disable TeaTimer!!
    * Run Spybot and click Mode
    * Select Advanced Mode.
    * Then click Tools and select Resident.
    * Now in the right window pane, uncheck TeaTimer.
    * Also while this is open, in the left column now select IE Tweaks
    * and then in the right pane make sure all the Miscellaneous locks are unchecked.
    * Now quit Spybot!

    If you have your disc, you need to go to start / run and type in:
    sfc /scannow

    What other issues are you having? Is it just the keyboard? Does an external usb keyboard work?

    It could just be that your keyboard has died. I suggest you post in the hardware forum for additional assistance.

    In the meantime, re-run ComboFix and attach the new log. I want to see if it is still trying to remove those files.

    I'm sorry! I don't know why I thought it was a mouse/touchpad problem instead of keyboard. I think it was just because that was the very first thing that showed in the "Pointing Devices and Keyboard" section of that PDF manual -- and I've seen people forget about that touchpad toggle before.

    I know this may sound like another outlandish troubleshooting idea but I'm reading that this could be it.
