This morning when I tried to start my computer i realized it would not post correctly. After grabbing my manual I figured out that it stops working when it "Tests the VGA BIOS". I never see anything on the screen and it continually stays there. I have a KT4V motherboard, 512 DDR 400 ram, an athlon 2400 xp, and ti 4600. Does anybody know what could be wrong with my computer. Is it the monitor or is it the computer. Thanks for the help

A few first steps to take are,

    1. Reset your Bios.... easy way these days as alot of newer mobos dont have reset jumpers is to remove the battery for a few minutes ( note: by reseting the bios you will loose any special settings you may have setup in the bios menus and these will need adjusting again )

    2. Remove the GFX card and re-install it.. maybe loose.

the next two are if you can find some replacement parts... either already have or can borrow,

    3. Try another GFX card then another monitor to narrow the problem hardware down.
