I always liked seeing what others had on their desktop, this is mine.

WOW, I love your desktop GT, its awesome;-)

 

A bit sad I'm using the wallpaper i made myself.. but hey.. ive not been bothered to change it for a while.

 

damn, this took long, had to download PowerToys, resize it... lots of work

 

You're welcome to it. It's a small picture, only 480x384, but since it's all soft edges, it scales well onscreen.

Nah. I'm not that artistic. Somebody took the F-14 image, which was full screen picture over water, which I also have, and superimposed it over the country/flag background. I like it too.

 

This is mine.. made it last week when my relationship started to go bad, to keep my mind off things - turning a negative into a positive. And I'm rather proud of it. Now everything I ever hoped or wanted has been obliterated so I should draw something else and see what i come up with so I don't wallow in misery any longer.

 

This is going to sound SOoooooo bad for me because I know a fair bit about computers but how do you take a screen shot of your desk top?

 

Wenchie, that is awesome, everytime I see something that you have done I am blown away.
Things will get better for you but sometimes wallowing is good, at least for a while.
Life can be crap sometimes but I love what you turn it into.

printscreen puts it into your clipboard, and then you paste it into paintshop, or a similar prog.

Maybe CTL-Printscreen, I forget now.

 

Ctrl-printscrn does the active window *I THINK*

 

just click printscreen(PrtScn) its on your keyboard, then open photoshop or another paint program and click edit and paste it.

And Wenchie has another adoring fan (I am one also.) I would love to know how you did the tool bar on the top, Wenchie. With mine, I just put my desktop as a 2nd tool bar, always on top & always hidden, small icons with short descriptions. The desktop tool bar disappears until I move my cursor over it.

1. Ginanatl:thats not a desktop, but a winamp skin. one of the best skins in my opinion. called mmd3.

I like Spaz's desktop too. I like the idea of hiding my desktop items so I can have more of a "picture" to look at.

The VS is actually an old one that I discovered I didn't give a real chance the first time I tried it. I have a tone of them I dl and never really look at. Hmm. .lemme see if I can find the link to it..

grrrr...even with the search button, i cant find the link i was looking for- i want to post mine, really I do, but my printscreen key doesnt work (dont know why) and I THOUGHT i saw some sort of other directions to be able to copy the image (no photoshop)....guess I'll keep trying...

Last time we did this there was a post on how to do it (I used it), there was also a post about how to make Paint save your pic as a jpg instead of a bitmap. I tried to post my new one yesterday but it said it was too big, not sure why. Do a search on "post your desktop", it should come up.

 

i used that as my keyword for the search- cause i remember seeing that link- but still cant find it! i found MG's print screen thing, but since that key doesnt work (for some reason) cant use that- cause that would have been easy...if I am remembering right it was some sort of program or something....


and apparatnly i need to fix the link to my pic...lol

at least i know how to do that! lol

If you <prt scr> you can paste your desktop into Wordpad. Then save it in a format that you can open up with IE and save as your desktop.

::edit - oops, just saw that you said your <prt scr> is broken... sry::

 

well, i must have been doing SOMETHING wrong- i was trying to paste it directly into iranfview (whatever its called) paint worke! Thanks!

Debbie, also you don't have to put your picture on a image hosting site for it to be uploaded on MG. You can just upload it from your computer.

 

debbie, it's about 7 pages back in the lounge.
I copied these from there, I remember that the one human site is very good.
