Posting files on the net

Hello,

sorry, I had no idea what category this fit in, so I thought i'd give this one a shot.

I've been making recordings of songs I've written and I've recently been able to put them on the computer. I want to get them to my friends.

I want to know if you guys know any kind of a site that will allow me to post mp3 files online for my friends to download. I don't have any money to pay for storage though...anything would be good as long as it's free..I tried 35mb.com, but it seems too fishy to me..

Any help would be greatly appreciated..thanks

 

What ISP do you use? Some ISP's provide 10MB of webspace.

You can always make an FTP server and with it you can load as much stuff as you want on there and you can make accounts. I would download Bullet Proof FTP which is available on MG somewhere. This program is helpful because it allows you to set up accounts for your friends and to load files and such onto your server. I recommend using this to load your songs onto. Just put your songs in a folder and then use that as your FTP folder. BPFTP is a very easy-to-use program and you should give it a try. FTP means it runs through your computer so like the domain name would be ftp:/xxx.xxx.x.xxx and the x's would be your IP address. Don't worry it tells you what your IP address is in the program.
