ok, bout 6 months ago i used some paper clips to attach my CPU fan to the heatsink... as the holder went missing. The paperclips weren't touching the CPU or motherboard they were bent back and were only touching the heatsink far away from the motherboard/CPU.

I never noticed it b4 this but about 3 months ago the computer was making quite a bit of noise.... but if i just tapped it the noise would stop....

Just recently I noticed that the computer was vibrating (PC Case) alot more than it should.... thinking a fan was to blame i opened up the case and felt each fan....

It was the CPU fan that was vibrating... and it was vibrating quite alot... prolly about 5 times what it should...

My question is could this be potentially harmful for my other computer components? or is it just an annoyance..... My RAM went bad (although it could have come like that) could the vibrating have caused this?

    Yes and Yes.
Vibration can cause a lot of things to loosen up. Boards/ fans/ cables/ ram/. you get the picture.
Also if the CPU does not get proper ventilation, you will burn up the CPU. Prior to that, you might shut down on heat related issues or have all kinds of strange things happen.
You need to get the fan attached properly.
