Power Dvd help

Hello i am having a software problem (i think) with Power DVD 5.0 I HAD an emachine, now i'm not sure what I have because a friend rebuilt my computer for me. Before with my emachine, it worked flawlessly, now the computer will not play dvds, it will play cdroms though. I downloaded PowerDVD 8, not realizing it was a trial version, and it has now expired. I have an autistic son, who is in a panic, because he can't watch his movies!!! I have done internet searches, to try to find support, but I think that version is pretty much considered ancient lol. I went ahead and uninstalled the 8.0 version, but in the transfer of the new parts to the computer, somehow i lost the setup file and all.....I would really appreciate any help!

FYI....Abri helped me with a previous problem, and was awesome....i don't think she does software problems, but I wanted to pay her a compliment anyways hehehe!

 

Oh wow!! It worked thanks soooo much......I really appreciate it and he will be ecstatic in the morning when he can watch his movies again...although we have 3 other dvd players in the house, he's gotta use THIS one lol........Thanks again!!
