I have been trying to figure out how to completely disable this problem on windows 10.It drives me nuts when i step away from desktop the system makes the disconnect sound after about 1 to 5 mins after no activity from mouse or key board.

I have un checked all (Allow the computer to turn off this device to save power) options through device manger.

I have the system setup for ultimate performance power plan.Nothing should be going to sleep.I even have the advance power settings adjusted to never turn off unless i power down.I can't find what keeps making the save power dinging noise.

All of the USB options have been checked off as well.

I have been looking for information for this annoying issue. It's drives me nuts when i lay down and watch a movie through web browser and stuff is going to sleep when it should not be at all.

Been struggling to figure this out for the last few months.

I have even looked through Group policy editor.

Any ideas with this save power annoying stuff would help.

Perhaps the mouse and/or keyboard has a power saving feature aside from the computer's. Look through the software for your mouse and keyboard.

Well the mouse it self is a old mouse M310 works well https://www.logitech.com/en-us/product/wireless-mouse-m310

So the mouse it self and drivers would most likely not have these kind settings through desktop,Laptop maybe.

The Keyboard is a onn Keyboard off the shelf at walmart cheapo.Nothing really special about it.

I have looked into them settings and have them checked off. Capture.PNG

Edit: I have gone down through the list of devices that could have power Management properties,And disabled all most all the options. But for some reason system still makes disconnect sound.

I don't know if there is some thing in registry or if this is some type of bug that Microsoft does not know about.Because this did the same thing in windows 7 as well. But in windows 7 i was able to disable this option with out this type of issue.
