Any one know how to completely disable the "Allow the computer to turn off this device to save power" function the disconnect sound is getting kinda annoying to me.I walk away for five minutes and i hear the disconnect sound through speakers.

I have all the options unchecked in the Device manager section.I have checked each one and all are off.

I have the system set up on High performance mode and yet it still disconnects the device manager stuff.Even though it's unchecked.

I found this App Don't Sleep but not sure if this works with the Save power function.

I had to disable the smart screen crap to install and yet virus scans came back clean.

    Don't Sleep doesn't install - it's portable.
And no, it won't help - it does the opposite of what you want.

So i guess your refering to your NIC as the device here?
When you say "Device manager section", did you navigate to network adapters/properties/power management?

Yes every thing is turned off.

If i disable the power management function through services it completely disables the power plan function it will gray it out.

Microsoft has stated that this is a Bug.But there should be a work around with this.I have been looking for months.

Ah OK, can you link me to the issue?

Does your OS have latest updates?

Under the driver tab, have you tried uninstalling the driver, then letting windows find and install the latest?

My latest update was 2004.But i had to revert the update back to 1909.Because Watch Dog kept crashing my system.I had a Hard BSOD which it's been a very long time since XP days that i have had a BSOD.

I can confirm all the drivers are the latest drivers.I don't want to uninstall some thing and Microsoft botching the latest drivers.

I have done the USB selective suspend option.Through additional power settings but still no go on the fix.Not sure if there is a option in the group policy editor or going through the registry editor.

Whats the main issue you wish to resolve?

Are your USB ports going to sleep on you, or is it a problem with an external device thats USB interfaced?

Trying to Prevent stuff from disconnecting.Seems like it happens only when i am watching a movie or some kinda video.

I am not sure if the usb ports are going to sleep.I only have three things connected at any given time.I normally unplug my USB Bluetooth dongle when not in use.The only other usb devices are Mouse and keyboard and they should not be going to sleep when usb selective is disabled. This only happens on my desktop.Does not happen on my laptop which runs 24/7.

What 'Power Plan' are you running under Power Options?
    Is everything set to 'Never'?

    Hibernate rather than Sleep?

Check your 'USB Root Hub properties' in the properties of USB devices (device manager/pwr man)
