    Toshiba satellite C60-B Windows 7 Home. Client brings this laptop,said grandchildren had played with it. No CMOS battery to remove, Toshiba says I have to buy a new MB. Any ideas on how to unlock it?

    You need to get the BIOS password from the client (if he/she set one — if the grandkids managed to set one, it's a new MB. :()

    @foogoo ,

    The scripts for Toshiba laptops are gone from that site.

    You could have a look at this- hope it helps

    There are other suggestions down left hand side of youtube page
    Basically it was always a case of shorting out the correct terminals.
    It used to be under thee ram stick, in pre-2009-11 Toshiba laptops, with a little bit of black tape over it, shaped like U, with a dot in the middle of the U, nd you just needed to short out the centre dot, and an earth.

    foogoo since that talks about using a 1.44" floppy disk, that might not be applicable to newer Toshiba laptops.

    You also used to be able to clear a password by removing the CMOS battery but that doesn't work on newer laptops.
