This is my HP Elitebook 840 laptop. I usually use it laying on my couch and set it over on my coffee table when getting up to do something. The power cord continually comes out of the port when I move around and I may not notice, even leaving it unplugged overnight occasionally which causes it to shut down when the battery gets low. I really don't like running the battery that low.
Anyone have a trick for securing the plug better without having to glue the thing in place?

I have the same problem with my phone's charger. The cable just slides out of the socket.

Not sure what you can try. They can be fiddly.
