Power supply problem??

I just installed a new graphics card (Nvidia GeForce 7600GS) which requires power via Modex connector. The connector that I used off the PSU is also tapped into the HDD (there was no other available unassigned line). I have a 350 watt PSU, and I've noticed that on startup a pop-up states that "the Sentinal has reported that the graphics card is not receiving sufficient power"...I am having no problems running any games except the graphics-intensive new release of "Splinter Cellouble Agent". My PC surpasses all of the required specs to run the game perfectly, but on launch, my PC reboots. I am just wondering if it is possible that when I launch this game (SCDA), the new graphics card is pushed to the max, and the insufficient power is the culprit that causes the reboot? If so, would a 500+ watt PSU do the trick? I appreciate any help...

 

From what I have read that card pulls a far amount of power, and 350 watts is fairly low, and if it is a OEM PSU, then I would be vary concerned given your reboot....................So yes I would step-up and get a larger PSU, both for now and later additions. A reputable 650 Watt PSU is relatively cheap today, and that is what I would get, also you should down load Everest available here at Major Geeks at http://majorgeeks.com/download.php?det=4181 to track your Voltages when running any new device, plus a whole lot more. 7600GS needs a minimum 350W system power suppply.So defintaly a 350watt power supply is most probaly causing the problem.
