power supply

    i just built a comp from all new parts its been working finefor a few weeks i plugged it in today and nothing no power. so i swapped out the power supply with a good one and that didnt work i put my power supply in another comp and it didnt work either any ideas????

    tested the power strip or outlet in the wall? May have tripped a breaker/fuse.

    no the outlet is fine my power supply died and when i replace it with a good one the comp wont turn on but it doesnt kill that power supply it just wont turn the computer on

    Check for any loose wires and check for any bulging or blown components on the board. If you dont see any try resetting cmos. Also remove periferals (if more then 1 ram stick remove all but one and try each stick individually)
