Power to the motherboard

I just received a MSI motherboard K7N2 Delta-L. The motherboard calls for the kinds of power connectors: 1) 20 pin power connector (JWR1) and a 12 V power Connector which is 4 pin spuare (JPW1) for the CPU. I do not have the second kind of connector coming out of my power box. I do have some 4 pin power connectors but they are not square as the one that the motherboard calls for. Could it be that I just need to get a 4 pin square connector, and replace the 4 pin flat connector?

 

not too sure what your saying but basically any mobo you have needs your Big fat reqtangular connector ; you can distinguish it by its large size and triangle/square pin connectors. Some larger mobos require the psu to carry the backup connector that is a square, and the cables are ussally yellow/black. if your PSU for whatever reason doesnt have these connectors you should NOT be using it at all unless you want ur brand new stuff to crap out.

 

I was wondering the same thing, to not plug anything in the square plug, but would evrything still work? The book that came with the Motherboard says that this one provides power to the CPU. ?????????

 

I know what you are talking about. Most newer power supplies come with that connection. I am not sure what it does, but i am pretty sure you need to have it.

OK re-read your post; you seem to be missing your aux power (square) connector; they go on all full sized motherboard like yours...Wouldnt plug mines in without it; look for an antec truepower 420W for about 50$
