Powerpoint 2007 incredibly slow

This hasn't done this to me the entire time I've been using Powerpoint 2007 on my computer but for some reason it does it every time now. Everything I do in Powerpoint has a 3-4 second lag, making it almost impossible to use. If I click somewhere, it takes 3-4 seconds to actually click. Same with editing text, etc. I've cleared out all my temp files for the program with CCleaner and my system specs are a Q6600, 3GM RAM, and an 8800GT so I know that's not the cause. Any ideas?

 

Take a look at http://www.pptfaq.com/FAQ00850.htm. I can't say for sure whether that's the issue in your case, but it seems worth investigating.

 

Hmm, now that I think of it I don't have any printers on this computer. For some reason, the printer completely stopped working from this computer over the network and I messed around for a bit and think I left it uninstalled. I'll try it out.
