Prefetch Files

Hi all, Happy new year to all in Major Geeks. Is it safe to delete old 2012"data base files" from Prefetch folder in Windows Vista SP2. I am just carrying out a general clean up.
Specs: Win Vista SP2,Home Premium, 32Bit, IE9, AVG Antvirus Free, Win Firewall, CCleaner, SuperAntiSpyware Free. Monthly maintainance in progress. Thank you in advance. Boneyeye
