Presario 1220 notebook cpu fan problems

    Hope someone out there knows the answer to this delema. I have a Presario 1220 notebook. The fan was malfunctioning. I bought a new one. When installed in the system, it doesn't work. I tested it. It works. Now the touchpad dosen't work. Is there a surface mount fuse on the board I'm not seeing? Has anyone worked on this model with the same problems and repaired it?
