I recently downloaded a program called Prevx Home. It works like Spyware Guard and almost like a firewall. Has anyone used this program before and would you recommend to keep on using it? Thanks for any help!

I've used it before. I like the concept but with SP2 some of it's features are not needed (if you are using XP that is).. the no exec function that SP2 has is pretty much the same as the buffer overflow check that prevx provides. If you use FireFox , then you further reduce the need for it as FF is a great to assist in preventing contamination from unwanted ActiveX files executing while using IE. IE SP2 also has an ActiveX prompt that notifies you if an ActiveX control is waiting to be installed. This is where user error comes into play. All in all , the universal prevention method is a great idea that can be handled in so many different ways.

Should you not use it? That's up to you. I did not see any benefit from it myself as I had already taken preventive measures on my workstation. The 3 months that I had it running, I had no warnings of any kind. So it's ultimately up to you to decide what road you wish to take.
