Prey PC game problem

Hi, i have a new pc vista 32 bit OS, Athlon 64x2 Dual Core Processor +240GHZ, 2 GB ram, 6800 geforce gfx card and a abit Kn9 motherboard, i have installed Prey on the new pc and it boots up no problem until i get to the options page, my mouse cursor starts at the top left corner and as soon as i move it or click it shoots down to the bottom right corner and disappears, i have tried reinstalling the drivers for my gfx and mouse/keyboard, the game works fine on XP, i have also gone into the console and bypassed the options and booted straight into the first map where it started fine but as soon as i moved the game just started spinning around where the cursor should be, any ideas or help much appreciated.

 

Do you have some sort of software-controlled mouse sensitivity? Try turning sensitivity down, both with the software (or - button if you have it) and in game.

 

Thanks but i have tried changing the mouse sensitivity without success, i am unable to change the ingame sensitivity due to the fact that the mouse is used to select the options and i cannot use it, think i may just flog the game on ebay and buy something else, shame really looking forward to playing it.
