Ruled and accident? I have mixed feelings, but miss her often.

Thought that they had only just not found any more evidence to suspect foul play, the investigation is due to go on for another 6 months ( Lord Stevens has to question the members of the royal family still ) , so no final word on the cause yet.

I have mixed feelings over the cost of this investigation running at £2m at present, which will once its over will still have no conculsive end.... let them rest in peace.

I'd like to think it was an accident, You're right Halo, they should just leave it go already....
I always liked her, she is what made me take an interest in the royal family.
She was so sweet, and pretty to boot, I think everyone loved her. She was very sincere, helpful etc. She was a great princess, I was so sad the day I heard she died. I miss seeing and reading about her too.

I think it was Sept 5th 1997, we're coming up upon the anniversary so that's probably why it's being talked about again....

I had to open this thread, because I thought there was a new princess somewhere I should know about (like maybe one of the boys got married or something). But I see we're talking about Diana. :)

i was recovering from a bad crash myself when Diana died. the thing that hit home the most was the fact that it could have been me. it could have been my kids without a mum. i cried for a long time, but i think the tears were for ALL the people whose lives are cut short, and ALL the families left bereft.

Diana's death may have been a political convenience to some, but there is no evidence of a conspiracy. Public, and as a consequence media fascination has always been a huge problem with Princess Diana.

I support English tradition and the Royal family in general. Looking at it as dispassionately as possible, she did much good, and she did much harm, though not by deliberate actions, but rather by indirect consequences.

It's hard enough to hold a marriage together for a long term for anyone, nowadays, much less the pressures and publicity of royalty.

I do know what it is like to lose your mom in a road accident in early childhood. When Diana died, so did a lot of people's dreams.
