Print screen won't print screen

    OS = Win XP Pro w/Svc Pk
    Printer - HP 2512

    Went to print document off screen, cued print screen, printer not responding
    Earlier today printed three 1-page documents from same source. One page spotty printing other two OK.

    Thoughts anyone?

    When I have a file stuck in the printer, I clear it this way:
    1. Control Panel, Admin Tools, Services
    2. Print Spooler Stop the service
    3. Open Windows Explorer and drill down to
    C:\windows\system32\spool\printers
    clear *.shd and *.spl
    The folder should now be empty
    4. Go back to the Print Spooler service and Start it.

    Got as far as Wind Expl, could not find C/...
    Tripped on Keyboard and found HP diagnostic/repair. Ran it.
    Checked ink level, black very very low. Que (shoe) emptied, HP diagnostic now reads all OK.
    Still cannot get Print Screen to respond. Ink level hold up printing?

    Changed cartridges, re-ran HP diagnostic, shows all OK.
    Still cannot use Print Screen Key. Cued P.S. key, cued with ctrl key, cued with Shift key, still not printing
    Printed test page and cartridge alignment page OK
    Suggestions?

    The print screen key doesn't actually just print out a photo of whats on the screen you have to paste it into a program to print. Ie mspaint.

    Got the print screen to print, however page is cut in half and compacted vertically. Not sure why.
    Copied form, sent to Word, does exactly what I want.
