I have a relatively new printer that is 100% useless. It's an HP Deskjet D2660 and it will not print. I send it a job from MS Word 2010 and it will either freeze up before doing anything, start to print and then freeze, or take 5+ hours to print a single sheet of paper. Often when I hit cancel, either on the printer or in windows, it will freeze up and do nothing. The only way I can clear the spool is through a batch file I wrote. I've tried updating the drivers, uninstalling and reinstalling, nothing. The damn thing refuses to print anything, no matter how large or small of a file. Help?

Sorry, Windows 7, but I have a coworker with the same problem using XP.

Make sure you have the driver for 32bit or 64bit OS.

Download the HP Print Diagnostic Utility. If you click the + in front of Windows 7, you will see the instructions and the link to download it.
