Printer Outrage!!

CAN SOMEONE PLEASE HELP ME!!!!

I have just brought 1 new printer (hp 3 in 1) taken it back because it wouldn't work with my computer which is a 5 month old hp pavillion and replaced it with a Cacnon Pixma 1500. Neither of them will go on my computer. I keep getting errors with the connections and the software will not go on properly. It also keeps saying that it can't find the printer being plugged in which is dumb because it's right at the back in the USB and I got both of them to print from word but not properly. HP would sometimes print and Canon says its printing but prints blank pages.

People keep saying it's a problem with a file I have in Windows XP. Could someone tell me if I wipe my harddrive and save programs/files onto a memory stick and then try to put the printer on before the programs would it work?

Also how do you do that? Wipe the harddrive and then put xp back on??

Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated!!

 

are you sure you installed the drivers properly?

what about if you goto control panel>printers and faxes>add printer? can you add it there?

 

go into bios and set your LPT mode to ECP if it's at EPP, or vice versa. just try with the different settings you have there and see which one works best.
