I'd like to use the printer port on my computer as a simple input/output device. Anyone know where I might find this information? At this time my prefered programming language is GW BASIC, which does it with peeks and pokes (like a joke I heard somewhere).

My current application is a count down timer using the computer video display. It monitors an input, and counts down when a line is a 1, and stops when it is a 0.

    Thanks.
