2 computers and 2 printers. My computer, when printing to printer 1 and printer 2, no issues, all text prints out okay. My colleagues computer, when printing to printer 1, all garbled text comes out, when they print to printer 2, no issues??

The printing is of exactly the same website page in all circumstances.

Any help much appreciated in finding a solution.

    Chris.

Sounds very much like your colleague ahs a problem with a driver on printer 1.
I suggest that they re-install the driver for the computer for printer 1.

All printer manufacturers will have a Troubleshooting page for your exact problem and the solutions for it, depending on the Windows Operating System. It includes issues around the Drivers but it is not the only cause.

Here - as an example ONLY - is the HP page but you need to find it for your printer brand:

Thank you to you both for very quick useful replies. Both the computers are on Windows 7, and the printer that is giving the garbled text from the website page, is a Samsung CLX-6200 Series PCL6. It only happens when my colleague tries to print from a website page (https://www.gracefruit.com/further-information/safety-assessors), it doesn't happen on any other printing they do.

Well it's your choice whether to troubleshoot that one printer, or just use the other printer for that web page.

If it is only 1 particular website, the posted one, it could be that the page is using a font missing from your colleague's computer and the printer substitutes another font.

Open that page on both computers in the same browser. Click on View and Character encoding and check that both browsers are using the same encoding to view the page. If not, change the encoding view on your colleagues computer, refresh the page and try to print to printer 1.

Also look in the fonts folder and see if the fonts match.

Getting some great ideas and help here - thanks.

One thing, could you do a step-by-step on the bits below please? I just get to a website page, but don't see any options for view, for example:

Open that page on both computers in the same browser. Click on View and Character encoding and check that both browsers are using the same encoding to view the page. If not, change the encoding view on your colleagues computer, refresh the page and try to print to printer 1.

Maybe try printing the page at http://www.printwhatyoulike.com/ if printing from there doesn't work, then select save as PDF and print that.
Or switch the driver to a generic or PS, or PCL5 if you have it.

You need to click the View tab in the browser.

    Internet Explorer.

_Chris_, you failed to mention what browser you both use.

I don't mind doing a step by step but I need to know the browser. Eldon posted for IE and FF.
I use Palemoon which would be like FF. I don't have Chrome installed so I can't tell you how to view a webpage encoding on that. I can point you to a page which describes the steps in Chrome.
