I have a Dymo Label Writer 315 printer hooked up by USB that is set as the default printer on my PC which I use 95% of the time. I also have a Lexmark E250dn laser printer hooked up through the network on this same PC. My dilema is when I want to print to this Lexmark Printer from this PC, if I don't go into the printer files and reset the Lexmark as the default printer twice before I print to it, it will print out as a label. Is this common or is there something I can set to take care of this problem. Thanks.

    HI

Yes sadly if you click print the default printer will normally be the first one printed too, unless the application you are using allows you when you click print to choose the printer as in the below dialogue box.

If you are doing that and it still doesn't print unless you set the Lexmark to default, then at present I'm at a loss as to what's going on.

But try this and if the Dymo is setup as default printer, leave that as it is, then unplug its USB cable then try and print to the Lexmark by choosing it as in the dialogue box above from your app and see if it prints without issue or having to change it to default.
