printer problem.

    I don't even know if i'm inthe right forum but i can't get my printer to print.

    Every time I try to print ssomething, it saved as a desk top file instead.

    Any Idea how I can get it to print?

    What operating system are you running? If Windows, which version?

    Is the printer installed and can you see it in "devices and printers" or "printers and faxes" (on XP)?

    Is it any document you try to print, or specific document types like PDF?

    Think its windows XP. It was showing up in printers and Fax but i have deleted it to try and re-install.
    I have only tried to print a couple of word docs (juts simple Cv and cover letter) but it saves them as desktop files.

    OK, thanks for the information.

    It sounds to me like you have the "print to file" checkbox checked when you open the print screen. Can you see if this is the case please?
