printer probs

hi folks,yup im back again this time i cannot get my printer to work ok here go's
when i plug the printer into my puter i get the message new hardware found etc
when i do the install stuff i get a message saying the "rpc server is unavailable".i have tried all the fixes that i could understand on the ms site but still get the same message every time hellllp i got all covered in ink filling the dam thing up

hi tim sorry mate im to dumb to work out the fix i have looked at the reg key and it says d nomber = 2 any other offers ?

i also went to the update site it told me that i had a newer patch and that i could not download it coa of service pack 2

 

i found the reg dofa and it is set at 2 i have gone to software as i think is more to do with windows tx for the help
