I have a canonI550 it is a pretty good printer. It is conservative with ink and yet puts out a pretty high quality print.

I am wondering what printer would you recommend. I want to start a printed newsletter perhaps a newspaper in the future. Any geeks in here got any suggestions.

Obviously I am lookinf for 3 criteria
    Speed in printing
    quality in printing
    conservative on ink usage
    in that order.

Let me know what you think
    Thanks

If you are looking to do a newsletter, you will almost certainly have to go with a laser printer. I managed to lay my hands on a secondhand Colour LaserJet 4500. Printing out copies of the same thing, it's reasonably quick, and although the consumables cost a fortune, they do last a very long time.

You can pick them up second hand for about £350-£400 here in the UK. (I got mine for £30 cos it needs a new transfer belt which is about £120, so a nice bargain either way.)

The LaserJet isn't photo quality, but it's certainly not bad. Good enough for a newsletter I would have thought.
