 Once before I was on here looking for an answer how to link our printer to both PCs. Besides there being a list of threads and replies, which got this guy hooked up, I found a step by step on how to do this. At the time it overwhelmed me but I returned to print it out -- but, can't find it. Was it just there for a while or am I missing it somewhere??

How are you planning on hooking up the printer (connected to one computer, or network printshare device)? If computer, plug in, make sure that File/Print Sharing is enabled for said computer, printer is shared, make sure printer is showing in Networking neighborhood, then if all is good to go, go to another machine, see if computer is showing on network neighborhood that printer is connected to, and you should be able to see all shares.

Once able to browse to other computer, you can go to Printer, Add Printer, then Network Printer, and you should see the network, expand, and the printer should be there listed.

Both computers are on a router plus the printer. I ran the network setup wizard on both computers. Seems to be working, seems far too easy, (scary). Thank you

You should never have to run Network Wizard, since it does more harm then good. I try to not have people run it, because it is too easy for XP to create a "Bridge" connection, which can cause problems.

Your right, already not running right. Should or can I undo it?

You can undo it, if it shows a Bridge in Network connections. What problems are you having?

Slow responding, freezing up, can not use the (send to) in pictures or documents.
How do I find a Bridge in Network connections?

Look in "My Network Connections" under "View Network Connections" and it would show all connections (ie Lan, Cat-5, Bridge if there is one). It sounds like it is a network issue, then anything else. Are you networking via WiFi, or Cat-5? I have no problems sending from the wired network to the WiFi connection on mine.

All I see in Network Connections is, DSL connection and the other is Local Area Connection which I don't understand why it's there or even what it is. As far as WiFi or Cat-5 I have no clue as to what that is. Please excuse me but mostly if it doesn't do it automatically I'm lost.
