Help - I cannot find my printer on my wireless network. I had many wireless card problems - I had to reinstall Windows Xp and even send my computer back to Dell to get it fixed. Well, now my wireless card works. I am having to reinstall everything. I am networked with my desktop - but I can't see my printer when I try to add a printer. Nothing appears. When I browse for a printer - the only thing that appears is Microsoft Windows Networks. I do have McAfee Firewall - but I disabled it. (The Windows Firewall was already disabled.) The printer is set up for sharing. We have another laptop that is also networked and it is printing on the shared printer fine. I am so frustrated!! Please help!

    Hey elliebee,
You say you can see your desktop, but only MS Networks shows up in trying to find the printer? Can you access files from your desktop?
In the properties for your network connection, is "File and Printer Sharing" listed as a service? If it is, maybe try removing and then adding again.
Compare all your settings with the laptop that is connected to the printer.

Thanks for the suggestions. I could access the files on the desktop, I just couldn't use the printer. Finally I tried having the Windows Network Wizard set up the network again. After looking at the router information and seeing how the network name was capitalized I tried again to set up the network. Now it works - everything works. It was just something very simple like that. I still don't know why I shared files and was on line - with no printer before. But now it does see my printer. Thanks for your help.
